The ski trails skied better than expected today for the limited amount of snow we received, thanks to the dozen or so hours our volunteers spent over the past two days rolling and grooming all the trails. Also several dozen other skiers enjoying the trails today despite the cold, and quite a few rentals as well. The blue and black trails should only be skied by experienced skiers as there are some thin gravelly spots on some of the hills; additionally, the black trail should be skied counterclockwise, so you hit those thin spots on the uphill versus downhill with potentially a lot of speed.
The Country Club's fitness center will be open to sell trail passes. However, the Country Club is locking down the other building (that houses our rental shop) to minimize heat loss so they don't have pipes freeze and burst again as they have in the past (it is a much older building). Therefore, if you want to ski but need rental equipment, you'll want to get it from Mountain Chalet or elsewhere as we won't be allowed to operate the rental shop Monday due to the expected frigid temperatures.
