There is a decent chance for some local snow this Thanksgiving week. Above is one possible weather model; Open Snow is currently predicting 5-12” for Woodmoor. The exact storm track is still unknown. If we are in the 4-6”+ range, we hope to start regrooming the ski trails (likely Wednesday), with a re-opening later that day or on Thursday.
Unfortunately, the Country Club at Woodmoor will be closed for Thanksgiving day, so day trail passes would be unavailable for purchase, but season pass holders would be welcome on the trails. The club should be open Friday to sell trail passes.
We completed our first round of rental shop volunteer training this past weekend, and if we get enough snow to re-open, would hopefully have our rental shop staffed and rentals available on weekend mornings from ~8:30-noon, starting this weekend. As always, our rental fleet is limited (although it continues to grow in size), so online rental reservation via our website is highly recommended versus walk-ins, if you don’t own Nordic gear. Due to limited staffing, mid-week rentals will only be available Tues-Thurs or Friday on the mornings, by reservation only.
Look for a trail/snow update later this week—happy Thanksgiving, and think snow!
