One more day of local skiing before waiting for more snow…

Although we got 4-5" of new snow out of the latest storm, it was a very dry, light snow ('champagne power') that packed down to less than an inch of new snow depth--meaning that it won't take long for some of the sections that were bare before Monday’s storm to return to grass. As a result, we expect tomorrow (Wedneday, 11 Dec--best skiing in the morning) to be our last day of local skiing pending more snow, and we probably won't be able to regroom it tonight or tomorrow morning given the thin spots and possible damage to the turf by the snowmobile. Please access the groomed trails from the upper parking lot at the green ski trail sign.

Lots of good snow depth elsewhere on the trails though from the past couple storms, and we've got the carpet down and partially covered (although still bumpy) on 50% of the trails, so as we get more snow storms later this winter, ski trail conditions should continue to improve dramatically. We've had several winters when we haven't even been open for the season yet, so things are looking good!
