Not enough snow/too much wind to reopen…

Writer's picture: woodmoornordic1woodmoornordic1

Had we picked up another inch or two of snow, or had the snow come in without wind, we probably could have reopened a few trails today. Unfortunately, we have several spots that are still super rutted, glare ice, where the wind prevented the new snow from collecting, and a few too many thin spots, to be able to safely open up the ski trails today or for the upcoming weekend. I groomed everything (mainly to keep a nice layer of softer snow from blowing away on-top of the icy-hard packed trail that is the result of last weekends warm weather), but we'll need to remain temporarily closed a few days longer.

The snowstorm due in next week is looking very promising though--think snow!
