More seasonal temperature and a return of snow after Christmas?

It sure has been warm and dry the past couple weeks; across the state we have gone from being well-above average for snowfall for this time of year, to now below average for most of the state! We have melted back to grass in many spots on the golf course, but still have patches of snow remaining in spots (photos attached)--so we are still ahead of where we have been in many winters. Still, I hate to see our so much of our great early season base melt away the past couple weeks...

We do have some colder temperatures and increased chances of snow after Christmas, and although some of our volunteer staff will be out of town for the holidays, we will have folks available to groom trails if our winter weather returns.

We have been using the 'down time' to order and make some new ski trail signs that we hope to have on the trail after the new year. I hope everyone has a great Christmas and New Year Holiday, and let's hope we have a return to winter as we approach the new year--think snow!
