Beautiful weather, just not for local skiing; Trails likely closed for the season ;-(

It's hard to complain about the nice spring days we are having, unless you were hoping to get some more local skiing in. The Country Club at Woodmoor is actively prepping their golf course course for re-opening soon (possibly this weekend), and as a result, I expect our local ski season is unfortunately done. We have a chance for a bit more snow next week, but the weather is forecasted to quickly warm back up, so chances are that any future XC skiing this winter will have to be up in the mountains at the bigger resorts as the country club closes us down for golf season to begin.

I had high hopes for this winter given our extremely early start to the season (Nov 8th!), but we only ended up with 17 local ski days total--well below our 10 year average. This is also the first year I can remember that we weren't able to offer any ski lessons since we started providing this service.

Woodmoor Nordic Nonprofit could not continue to offer this local amenity without the support of our season pass holders, donations, and the dozen or so dedicated volunteers who help groom the ski trails, staff our rental shop, and put in countless hours assisting our nonprofit organization. Thanks to you all, and here's hoping next winter will be better!
